The unaffordable love of God

John 3:16 tells us how God loves us on a level of giving us His only begotten son, not just to visit us, not just to come and talk to us, not just to come and live with us! No, beyond that! To come and die for us, to purchase us and make us the heirs of heaven! To give us the right to become children of the most high God! The creator of everything that exists, that has existed and that will exist!

The Bible in 1John 4:9 tells us that that's how God showed us His love, He gave us His son to die for us so that we can live through him! It's hard to understand this kind of love!

God's love for us.

Romans 5: 5 tells us that we have the love of God received from the Holy Spirit, whom we have received, and Romans 5: 8 continues saying that when we were sinners, God demonstrated His love to us by giving us Christ to die for our sins. Down on verse 35, Paul asks the romans, who will separate us from the love of God? and He gives the answer on verse 39 that nothing, nobody will be able to separate us from the love of God.

What can we do to respond to God's love?

Romans 13: 10 tells us that love is the fulfillment of the law.

When you love someone, you care for him/her, for his/her fillings. you never wish to make him/her angry. God's law is made up of things that God hates, things that can make Him angry or sad.

If we wish to respond to God's love, we must make sure that we love what He loves and hates what He hates. So, we will respect His commendments, not as a burden but through love. When you do things through love it is not too hard to accomplish like when you act without love. John 15:10 tells us that if we keep His commandments, we will abide in Jesus' love, just as Jesus kept His father's commandments and abide in His father's love.

By reading the Bible, we will know the commandments of God and how we can follow them. There are different instructions in His word. He prepared everything before to help us in our journey of serving Him and believing in Him.

Guided by the Holy Spirit, we will understand what He wants us to do in every situation of our life, because we have been given the Holy Spirit as a helper. He helps us in all aspects of our life.

To understand thi topic very well, I would like to recommend some helpful books.

The love of God By Peckham John C.

In this book, Professor Peckham trys to give answers to questions like: what do they really mean to be loved by God? Does He choose to love, or does He love necessarily? Is His love emotional and always unconditional? Does the love of God include desire or enjoyment? Can He receive love from human beings?

It is a very useful book for ministers, seminary students, and scholars, yet it is written in a readable style that makes it accessible also for the non specialist in the word of God.

Anyone who wants to really know what the love of God is like needs this book. For more information, please click here.

The Uncontrolling love of God By Thomas Jay Oord.

This book provides a clear and powerful answer to the problem of evil, the problem of chance, and how God acts providentially in the world.

It is very helpful in understanding why there is pain and suffering in our world and it helps to answer the question, "Why does God allow evil to exist?

By using his newly formed theological model of Essential Kenosis, Dr. Oord helps the reader to embrace new methods of thinking about God, thus providing a rationale for much of what previously seemed unanswerable. For more information about this book, please click here.

Thank you for taking time to read God'sthis message, may God bless you! If you have something to share with us, kindly place them down!
